Description
Image information
While the hot sticky muggy air of Bermuda engulfs you topside, beneath your feet, many meters below, in a certain area located in the Parish of Hamilton, the Crystal Caves of Bermuda take you to another world.
Discovered in 1905 when two young boys had simply lost their cricket ball. The cave is approximately 500 m long, and 62 m deep. The lower 19-20 m of the cave are below water level.
Today this extremely peaceful experience can take you away from all weather conditions, into a damp, quiet dwelling beneath the humid conditions above. Caked from top to bottom in stalactites and stalagmites, solid limestone structures that took millions of years to form, accompanied with the glass like azure waters were just waiting to be discovered.
