Banff is a town within Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada. It is located in the Alberta Rockies along the Trans Canada Highway approximately 78 miles west of Calgary and 36 miles east of lake Louise.

Im going to break this to you gently. If you haven’t already, you ‘need’ to travel to Alberta! The landscape scenery is breathtaking, the walking is easy and truly amazing. Banff packs an almighty punch, and is a place to be reckoned with when it comes to Landscape photography. Lake Louise is close by, and regardless of seeing Alberta covered in snow in winter, or when the foliage is at its most luscious in summer time, it will blow you away.

The Banff Avenue Bridge is a simplistic photographic opportunity for us all. The Bow River runs through Banff and is an impressive 356 miles long, it also passes under this very bridge, mountains fill the backdrop, accompanied with pine trees and raw beauty. The Bow River in this particular spot, almost hour glass in shape, is a beautiful reflective delight.
