Image information
This image was photographed just on the outskirts of Calgary. The impressive 365 mile river bends and turns all its way from Bow Lake to the South Saskatchewan River.
It’s easy to see why film producers were keen on these iconic scenic locations when filing the motion picture ‘The Revenant’ The classic ‘Boat under attack’ scene was filmed on this very same river, as well as many camp fire scenes shot in Bow Valley.
Canada’s terrain is jaw dropping and extraordinarily vast. There might be on the order of 2 million lakes in Canada of all sorts and sizes. Canada has 60% of the worlds lakes, and we haven’t even started talking about the Rockies yet! In short Canada’s big outdoors is impressive on a superior scale.
